How Many Detectors Do I Need?

For complete home safety, the number of AirGuard detectors you need depends on the size of your apartment and the number of bedrooms:

1-bedroom apartment: 2 detectors — one near or inside the bedroom and one in the living room or kitchen.

2-bedroom apartment: 3 detectors — one in or near each bedroom and one in the living room or kitchen.

3-bedroom apartment: 4 detectors — one in or near each bedroom and one in the living room or kitchen.

4-bedroom apartment: 5 detectors — one in or near each bedroom and one in the living room or kitchen.

5-bedroom apartment: 6 detectors — one in or near each bedroom and one in the living room or kitchen.

Installation tips:

Place one detector in or right outside each sleeping area and one in the main living space.

If your home has multiple floors, install at least one detector on every level.

Avoid placing detectors behind curtains or furniture, or too close to windows or ventilation openings.

For homes with garages, stoves, or fireplaces, add an extra detector nearby (but not directly above the heat source).
